Whether we’re right or wrong we tend to attach to a faith and a God. The purpose of religion and faith is to guide an individual or a group, it is not the destination. Once you get to the destination the religion or faith has served its purpose, whether it’s Buddhism or Christianity, etc. We ought to talk to one another to strengthen our faith through the sharing of ideas. Through the discussion of ideas we strengthen our communities. As Christians we should not shy away from people who believe differently. We should embrace the different ideas in a manner that allows others to see Christ in us. This is the epitome of “living in the world, but not being of the world.”
On this episode of the True North Man podcast, Paul and Rev. Sam talk about faith and the purpose it serves. They add a refreshing perspective on Religion and invite the listener to look deeper into their faith and perhaps find a way to walk the line without compromising their values. Tune in for an episode that will give you a view of how a Buddhist and a Christian can engage in meaningful, thought provoking dialogue without attacking or judging each other.
